The Old Way (2023)

Did I like it? I don't feel like I wasted my time.  
Would I watch it again? Probably not voluntarily. 
Would I recommend it? Yes, give it a chance.  

The Old Way (2023) is a film about a family that is consequentially changed by a significant action the father took years before he became a husband, before he became a father, before he had a family. This film is a reckoning with the past for the father Colton Briggs (Nicolas Cage), and it also feels like a coming of age story from the perspective of his daughter Brooke Briggs (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). Ryan is terrific in this film by the way.
